Eight Limbs of Yoga Workshop

This is a workshop for all students interested in learning more about Traditional Yoga. We will briefly discuss all eight limbs of Yoga and do a exercise for each. Journal, breath, posture, meditation, and relaxation. This will be a a great workshop to begin the year. Learn new tools to reduce stress and enjoy a healthy life.
In brief the eight limbs, or steps to yoga, are as follows:
Yama : Universal morality / how we treat others
Niyama : Personal observances / how we treat ourselves
Asanas : Body postures
Pranayama : Breathing exercises, and control of prana
Pratyahara : Control of the senses
Dharana : Concentration and cultivating inner perceptual awareness
Dhyana : Devotion, Meditation
Samadhi : Union with the Divine

Thai Yoga Massage Workshop

In this workshop each student will give and receive a full body Thai Yoga massage.
In this hands-on workshop we will teach a dynamic flow of massage work with fluid combinations of techniques that move, stretch, and twist the client while they are positioned on their back, front, side, and sitting crosslegged on the floor. These stretches are an excellent way to alleviate nagging aches and pains. This is an outstanding way to help promote relaxation and stress reduction. Together these actions will result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improve circulation, and boost immune system.
Wear comfy clothing and please bring a pillow and blanket.

Make time for yourself with this 1/2 day Yoga Workshop
In his workshop we will explore the twisted postures of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga. The word "Detox" gets thrown around a lot in yoga. We will discuss and practice the postures that truly can detoxify the vital organs in the body, the postures access energy to move through the body and free up stagnation in the blood.
Increase flexibility, create balance, symmetry, improve endurance, and strength. This is a powerful practice with unlimited benefits.
This will be a very hands-on course with adjustments.
